Onward we went on the
Liard Trail. The going was pretty good at first, but the road sort of deteriorated as we went along. We were VERY glad that we had the knobby tires. No crashes to report, fortunately. In the morning, Mark was involved in a classic standoff: man versus bison. We've seen this so many times before in our madcap world. And we had our first moose sighting!

Liard. Nobody was there, as previous visitors had all been devoured by
DEET-resistant mosquitoes. Beautiful spot, but we are both now missing several fingers and a pint of blood. Waiting for the symptoms of West Nile Virus to set in...
