Berland River to Twin Lakes

I completely forgot to mention earlier that our motorcycle gang is down to two. We left Dan at Premier Lake and Milo headed back west to Seattle at Jasper. Awoke to clear skies!! We thought we were going to have our first day of perfect weather...We were in the middle of nowhere, on Hwy 40 on our way to Grande Prairie for gas, food and a hatchet, which Mark really wanted.

Once out of Grande Prairie, the skies started to look a little sketchy. But things were looking promising by the time we got to Grimshaw, the start of the Mackenzie Highway.

After Grimshaw, we rode and watched an incredible lightning storm to the west. We ended up camping at Twin Lakes CG, and just as we pulled in the rain started. Fortunately, the skies cleared later, and we were able to fish and enjoy the view below...
