Revelstoke to Waterfowl Lakes along the Icefields Parkway

What a day!! Rogers Pass was spectacular--no photos, at least the ones I take, can do this stretch of road justice. We left and traveled east on CN 1. I had a hard time making progress because I was taking so many photos.

We stopped in Golden for bear spray. The gal at the outdoors store where I bought the stuff asked me where we were going. I said Inuvik, to which she responded, "Oh, the grizzlies are HUGE up there!" Great.

After Golden, the road continued to be spectacular, both from a scenery standpoint, and from an engineering one. The Kicking Horse river was a beautiful glacial blue. Stopped in at Lake Louise--very pretty, but very crowded. Turned on 93 North to the Icefields Parkway--again, stunningly beautiful. Camped at Waterfowl Lakes CG. Overall, a great day!
