Day 7: Liard CG to Robert Service CG, in Whitehorse, YT

Needless to say, we got the heck outta dodge first thing in the morning. Coffee and breakfast could wait! We stopped at Coal River to have breakfast--this was a wonderful, friendly place--I wished we had camped here, but it was just too much to get to this destination yesterday! Once fed and on the road, we realized that this day would be more of the incredible same in the animal department. Watched this mommy and her cubs from a sort-of safe distance.
We saw so many bears that we stopped counting. A typical gas stop along the way.
Lots of steel grate bridges--a little squirrel-action on the bike!
Another fuel stop in Teslin. Mark went on ahead of us to get a new rear tire, as he had burned through his original Pirelli Scorpion.
We reconnected in Whitehorse and went to find a spot to call home for the night. Let me just say, I LOVE the Robert Service Campground! This is some kind of odd hippie enclave. It is only accessible by foot (or motorcyle) and is filled with happy people! This is a must-stay-at location if you ever have to good fortune to find yourself along the banks of the Yukon River in Whitehorse, YT. Here are Mark and Adam, enjoying our riverside campsite.
And this is my friend, Nathan, who helped me with this post.
Miles today: 400 and change
